Hello everyone!

As you may well be aware, I'm now able to (assuming travel remains open on the schedule they say) begin planning for a trip to various museum ships in the USA for 3 weeks and some point in late March or early April.

This does however pose a slight problem, being away from my PC and busy all day will almost certainly mean I will not have the time in that month to record the normal Patreon Drydock, nor most likely the voted on videos (as for obvious reasons research starts the month they are voted for).

However, I still want to ensure you get good value from your Patreon-age, so I'm looking for ideas on how to manage that situation.

I have come up with the following:

1) For the Wednesday videos, if I open the March polls with multiple choices enabled, then make the top two voted options, this would effectively combine the March and April polls and give me time before the trip to work on the later videos so your choices would still be made and hopefully uploaded in the correct months.

2) For the Drydock questions, given that the majority (possibly all) the trip will be in April, making the March Patreon Drydock shouldn't be a problem, but if for that months poll I also include a list of ships I'll be visiting, then if you want to ask an Alt-History question for April, go right ahead, but if you want to ask a Historical question for April, could I ask that it be about one of the ship's I'm visiting, it's systems or it's battles? That way, you get to put in two questions in the March poll, and I can then take the April questions and record answers to them whilst I'm on the ships themselves, which then means when I get home, I have the footage ready to edit and upload.

However, if you have any other ideas that you think might work better, please let me know in the comments and we'll see what works best. :)

Dude. You put out more content than half of us can freaking keep up with. Take a darn break and we can catch up on some of the three billion hours of content.

You ought to see if you can't do a crossover episode with the USS New Jersey folks if you are stopping by.

Ryan seems like a pretty cool dude, and super knowledgeable about his ship. Also I'm pretty sure I saw a video that he said for a price adults can get private tours into the depths of the ship, and he would be down to take you most anywhere you would like to go see.

I would say that percentage is higher. I mean I life in Germany. We have very few destinations for a 5 hrs drive to listen to a full patreon drydock :)

I'm fine with no Patreon videos at all during your trip. Instead, maybe do a five-minute Captain's log every several days with random highlights and insights from your trip (whenever you have the time), so we can join you on your voyage.

The value you provide is exceptional so no worries about missing episodes. I hope you enjoy your trip without the added stress. We will benefit later from the detailed material you always seem to harvest.

If you’re visiting one of the destroyer escorts I’d like to know more on their operations given my grandfather was stationed on one in WW2 but much beyond that I only know their basic function.

It's fine if once in a while you spend more time taking information in than dishing it out! Missing a video won't do your ad revenue any favors, but I'm fine with it as a patron. No reason you should be the only guy in the world that doesn't get vacations.

Have you updated your US itinerary? As I recall, this time last year you had some pretty aggressive plans. Looking forward to meeting with you when you visit the USS North Carolina.

Go enjoy yourself I can’t keep up with all your output as it is so a slight drop might allow me to catch up a bit lol. Perhaps some tour sequences from you journeys around the various ships you will see and a crossover with New Jersey or the guys from Texas while you are there. Did they just complete a full dry dock in a US sub as well? But I am not concerned about a the months lost content more that you will lose revenues fro YT. As I said enjoy.

Hopefully we will see you here in Massachusetts, with the battleship USS Massachusetts at Battleship Cove, USS Constitution and USS Cassin Young at the Charleston Navy Yard and the USS Salem in Quincy.

,if you want to ask a Historical question for "April, could I ask that it be about one of the ship's I'm visiting, it's systems or it's battles?" Great Idea! This following idea may really prove impractical -- but would you consider having supporters meeting with you on the tours. I live somewhat close to the museum ships in the Southeastern US and would be delighted to tag along.

Happy with no drydock at all during your trip, with all these 6+ hours drydocks you deserve a break

Put me on the list of people who are okay with missing a few episodes. Think of your trip as a working vacation and don't worry about trying to add value. Besides, maybe I'll then catch up on the backlog of videos yet-to-be-seen.
