Regarding second class battleships. How would you rate the Swedish ships that kept the Kriegsmarine at bay? We're they second class or something else. It seems a heavily armed, armored, maneuverable, but slow, coastal battleship would be just the ticket for home defense.

What if Von Spee had the Seydlitz & the Von Der Tann battlecruisers? Rather than their dated armoured cruisers? I think the brits would have still won the war. Since they shamelessly begged for assistance from those, who'd they previously suppressed. A century and half or so prior.

If a battlecruiser is effectively an anti-cruiser battleship, was there ever such a thing cruis-destroyer?? If not, what would it look like, medium size cruiser with 100mm autocannons?

Wouldn't the "type of warship that was least effective" be the torpedo boat motherships?

Is it possible to armor a ship that is resistant to non-nuclear anti-ship missiles like the P-700 Granit? If not, is that due to displacement concerns, cost vs intercept systems, etc?
