I have a question what type of turret was the u.s using in the 1920s. triple or 3 gun?

Dubsington

(Assume you meant double- or triple- turrets) If you are talking about battleship main batteries, both were in play. The 14" guns were found in triple turrets on ships like the California (1921), but others used twin turret arrangements like the Maryland (1921) or West Virginia (1923). Generally speaking in the 1920s battleships the 16" guns were twins and the smaller weapons were triples.

Not exactly I was more thinking of in the u.s in the 1920's did the guns usually separately elevate or where they all elevated at once.
