What about the Cruel Sea and the Silent Enemy Films

Hunter Killer was an actual okay submarine movie to my utter astonishment... Not Red October, but not bad either.

With regards aerodynamics on ships both large and small as a retired warship designer one of the major aerodynamic problems faced was the problem of turbulence around the upperworks with crew safety and enhanced instability with heavy weather and winds. A number of ship's upper structures cause high levels of danger for the crews because of accelerated forces due to turbulence and eddies around the superstructure refer to wind problems around buildings in built up areas. This caused real problems at sea and as designers part of the considerations learnt by heavy lessons was to try and avoid these problems. many well designed ships otherwise had to be modified to solve these problems. The Queen Anne mansions favoured by the RN was a good example of aerodynamic design which reduced the danger when wind was whistling through the open gaps in the other structures.

I'd pay Patreon just for access for these videos early. They drop about 2PM PST (Vancouver, Canada) when I get off at work at 3PM it's perfect for naval rum and the weekend's kickoff.

In terms of naval combat - how would you rate the 2005 Japanese film Yamato

If the remake "Sink the Bismarck" Robert Ballard should be involved. Believe he could help with the historical accuracy.

Surviving signaller C Falmer on the sinking of HMS Indefatigable: “ There was a terrific explosion aboard the ship – the magazines went. I saw the guns go up in the air just like matchsticks… bodies and everything. She was beginning to settle down. Within half a minute the ship turned right over and she was gone. I was 180 foot up and was thrown well clear of the ship… When I came up there was another fellow named Jimmy Green and we got a piece of wood… A couple of minutes afterwards some shells came over and Jim was minus his head.” Apparently the Germans just kept on shooting at her.
