aoki and Kimura is getting trained by the other coach, who stood next to Itadaki in this one; the other manager is the one in charge of getting matches

Compare Itagaki's match against Ippo's 2nd match, against the big guy with no eyebrows who kept headbutting Ippo intentionally. Ippo went down, got mad, started just eating the headbutts and won. It's a difference in attitude, and Itagaki probably had a hundred amateur matches too. Squeaky clean matches where no fouls were let through. I can't really blame anyone here, but it sucks for him.
