There are billions of people in the world of One Piece, conqueror's haki just seems common because all the big shots have it.

My personal theory is that Jimbei has strong potential for Supreme King since the anime's effects likes to be very liberal with hinting potential spoilers and he has a presence. And from a story point of view, I think Usopp will as well. He's knocked people out with unconventional methods before and I think his character arc will go places. And his lies come true! Unfortunately, I'm sure my favorite Sanji's spirit doesn't qualify because he limits himself in the obvious way.

Most leaders of some kind in the new world have conquerors. It's essentially proof that someone has what it takes to be a true leader. Pirates like Kaido can't make it as far as he has without having it. It's actually more surprising to find a leader without it at this point.

Kaido has conquerer's haki(coc). He's been using the advanced version of it throughout the fight with luffy. The reason why yamato was revealed to have conqerer's haki in her flashback as well is to set up the reveal that she can also use the advanced version of coc which is why we see the thunder bagua clash at the end this episode. That's supposed to show them using advanced conqerer's with their thunder bagua attacks and why their weapons didn't touch. It's harder to understand in the anime than it is in the manga because of the added visual effects (not a bad thing at all but it can be confusing) I hoped this helped clarify things.

The anime using power rangers colors instead of properly displaying the different haki types will forever ruin wano in the anime for me

it's crazy how kaido slapped those great samurai, and ruled over wano when the marines can't even get involoved lol

No he's mentioned it before it's just we rarely see Roger's ship. So every time we do lycan mentions it again.

Ive checked a couple of reactions and it seems people dont catch it that easily in the anime because the animation be experimental but yamato here is infusing herself with conquerors in her clash with kaido like luffy in episode 1028. In the manga it was maybe the main reveal of that chapter in that final panel that she can do it as well. And obviously kaido can do it too, luffy picked it from him. In general when you see a clash of people not touching each other its safe to assume its advanced conquerors coating.
