Guys, for the name Shimotsuki I will be the one to tell y’all : - It was first mentioned in episode 2: Zoro grew up in “Shimotsuki Village” - Now we have Yasuie Shimotsuki who was the last daimyo. I know of other times when this name is relevant but I can’t say for sure if it was only mentioned in the manga so far or if some of the stuff is from Oda’s other side projects or from the SBS… if anyone knows better, feel free to tell them.

from most Japanese shows/anime ive seen over the years, explain the odd color hair(blonde/red) to be a form of rebellious actions by teens or "delinquents". Kienmons hair was naturally black, similar to Ichigo from bleach or Kuwabara fom Yu Yu Hakusho.

Here we go again with all these people who has watched one piece 10x already lecturing someone who has only seen it once lmao. Yall gotta understand that some people will not notice that it was kinnemon with a blonde hair for the first time. Hell lycan even started noticing it was kinnemon a few mins later. I blame the way amenz be explaining things sometimes even though he was right lmao. Your hair dont go from blonde to black when u get older. Its always white and i think thats what confused lycan for the most part.

I dont even think the village's name was mentioned at all in the anime. And I remember episode 2 just being zoro's introduction not his actual backstory. And even if it was mentioned then let them find out on their own. They hate it when you tell them stuff unless they actually ask for it. It also ruins the reaction.

The point of their comments wasn't whether or not he caught it on the first watch. It's because he still had doubts even after Amenz pointed out the possibility of it being Kinemon and was calling him out for it.

its not that deep lol just normal jokes in the comments. lycan was just too focused on the hair being different he ignored all the other context pointing to that clearly being kinemon. which amenz DID notice and tried to tell him. it is funny though cause amenz was trynna save him from the comments he even brought up the dye and lycan was trynna clown.

yup it was a form of "fight the system" cause, especially in schools, black hair was mandatory and even the way it's styled. so delinquents would dye their hair and style it with gels and hairspray. i think the thing that threw lycan off is the time period that wano is based off of lol
