Nah I disagree. Due to all the strings he has he would actually be a good matchup. The only reason Cracker was tough is because Luffy had to eat everything he made. Other than that he literally got one shot. 😂

You guys are going to have to stop going to the title card especially in Wano because A LOT of episodes will start way before the title card. If you are on Crunchyroll I believe people leave timestamps in the comments.

Gear 4 is a temporary power boost and he won't have people helping him while he recharges like he did with Doflamingo. Once he uses it, it's either he definitively beats Katakuri before it runs out, or he doesn't and he dies. It's too much of a risk to use right away.

gear 4 got a time limit amenz luffy cant go straight into without trying everything else first cause if that fails hes a sitting duck for that time limit. even if he doesnt think theyll work its a feeling out process

Yeah and once his time limit ends, he can’t use haki at all for 10 minutes, so he’d be even more weak and vunarable to katakuri than he is right now

Oda already said that Dofflamingo would have still lose to Gear 4 even if Luffy didnt get help so... yeah.

Thing with the Doffy vs Luffy fight is its hard to determine what would happen, because Gear 4 has a time limit. If it didn't then Luffy would have won before he needed help from the citizens, and he would be able to use it all the time. It all comes down to that last attack, the King Kong Gun which destroyed a town and folded in the ground, and whether you think that would take out Doffy without Law hurting Doffy.
