Inoue is not someone who is willing to kill. Unlike Ichigo, Uryu, and Chad, she doesn't like fighting but she does it to save and protect. Her character was created to provide support to the crew and to care after Ichigo (and others, but mostly Ichigo) whenever they are hurt- Her sole existence as a pure hearted person, and her unconditional love for Ichigo inspires him, and others, to keep fighting and to never give up. She doesn't ask for anything. She just wants to use her powers to help Ichigo (even if sometimes it gets in the way). But regardless, he learns something about himself every time he saves her.
