Ok I looked it up, Its a Pun, the technique is called Hierro Lágrima: Mekujira. Mekujira refers to the corner of the eye, but if you read each kanji separately you get eye whale. So literally she can only do that attack because its a Pun.

To think that their argument about Violet-chan's tears could've been immediately resolved if one of them knew some Spanish... She called her tears Hierro Lagrima which means Iron Tear.
