I wouldn’t say the old guy is on weird stuff, yuji’s existence is a legit threat to humankind since Sukuna was literally reborn through his body, it makes sense he wants him dead regardless of yuji’s moral character

The movie is for the prequel called Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School. It is kind of its own story but it is canon and ties into the Jujutsu Kaisen which is why it got a movie rather than forcing it into the anime

They can't reveal everything in one season. But the old man has made his position clear, and he knows that Gojo is his roadblock, so of course, he's going to go behind his back and try and take Yuji out. Simultaneously, Gojo is no fool and knows the people in charge are shitty.

The story will have much more of a buildup and crazy reveals in season 2, trust! --- Side comment, regarding Demon Slayer, they can't dive right into season 2 because they said they'd do the movie first and the movie is basically canon. Like if they did season 2 first, then there's no point in the movie at all since it's a whole manga arc.

I agree that it doesnt feel like a season finale. However, as a manga reader, there's not really anywhere comfortable they can end this season. Maybe if they had ended it right after the baseball game and saved this as the opening arc for s2 that might've worked a little better. Don't worry about the holes in the story though. A lot of great reveals are coming as the story continues

Yeah tbh I agree with you guys that this episode didn't feel like much of a season finale. There wasn't much closure given to anything. I agree that the story is the worst part of Jujutsu Kaisen. The animation, music, characters, etc. are all top tier, but the story doesn't seem very consistent. It feels much more like a bunch of little stories mushed together rather than one big story that has parts within it. I guess you could say it feels a bit episodic as opposed to something like, say, Attack on Titan, which has a story that builds upon itself much more consistently. To me, Jujutsu Kaisen is a show that if it's there, I'll watch it and enjoy it, but I won't be bothered that much by it not being there, either. I'm not that anxious for the next season and I just don't think it's very memorable even though it's really good in most ways. Tbh I think most people will remember the show through Gojo, rather than the story.

I was surprised when I found out that this would be the final arc of JJK. But honestly based off the Manga and where it’s heads to after this arc. This is the perfect conclusion to the season

This episode definitely wasnt a typical Shonen last episode of the season. It did feel like a regular episode. But what’s wrong with the Gakuganji🤔 In the baseball episode he explained what the problem with Itadori was and then basically agreed with Yaga that he will see how things play out.

I still can't watch the first episodes of JJK it's been unavailable for weeks now. I think i watched the first one only

Sascha

I am anime only, so dont spoil, but damn, how strong are Hanami and Gojo. Like Hanami tanked 4! Black flashes + a lot of other hits from Itadori and Todo and the brother in this ep lost his whole arm with shoulder after a single one. At the same time, Gojo neg diffs Hanami...

Samuel Cornell

Amazing reaction yall and letting you know theres a new record of ragnarok trailer

Candice Blair

As a manga reader, I disagree with this because everything will tie together in the movie and the next arc. These are not little short stories everything connects and you were basically just set up with information to prepare what's coming next.

I definitely agree that it didn't fell like a season finale but this was the best place to stop honestly. Also, of course there are holes, the story is nowhere near done here

I'm an anime only and I nearly disagree with most you've said. I think it was obvious from ep 22 that they won't wrap it up as a typical finale considering how every event strongly ties up. Also, I don't get the plot holes point (?) we still know very litter to assume plot holes. I think other comments said enough about the principle's pov, cuz for us as viewers know itadori as this goof-good person and that old man have lived enough to experience the danger special grades curses let alone the king of all sukuna can hold.

Space

Beating a special grade only makes you first grade level. Only two Sorcerers in season 1 that are special grade are Gojo and Geto

Space

They didn't pay attention the whole season. The old man isn't on weird shit. Gojo is the bad guy. Gojo is putting everyone in danger with Yuji and Sukuna

Fogang

I didn't see anybody mention it so I'm gonna go ahead and say it and it's not a spoiler by the way but in the scene where Itadori and Nobara are posing (16:02) they both did Black Flash the anime doesn’t do a good job of showing that to the watcher, most people didn't notice that Nobara did it too.
