The actual manga chapter did it better justice than the anime tbh. When they killed Sabo the panels were laid out to make it more sad and depressing. They also ended the chapter on Sabo's last words to Ace to take care of Luffy as Luffy cried so it was made out to be more important. Most of the chapter was also focused on Sabo too so it was a grand closing for his character. So yeah I agree with the fact that the anime didn't do his death justice. The manga was just better in those regards.

Yall got it mixed up. Ace said something along the lines of, "say hi to dadan for me" and "if it wasnt for you and sabo...". He didnt say "say hi to sabo for me" or anything like that lmao. just letting yall know so you arent misled

The One Piece data book confirms Sabo is dead or diseased hopefully it’s false and he comes back in some way.

Sabo is dead y’all lol!! Ace’s quote was to say hi to “DADAN” for him. He said the “situation with Luffy and Sabo” is one of the things that made him want to live

lycan i have no idea what you are talking about saying it's bad writing, it's as if you didn't watch any of the episodes. sabo's father literally told Sabo that if he went back with his friends that he would kill them, he said he would kill luffy and ace so Sabo had no option but to escape or stay there for the rest of his life.

I don't know guys, I think its a matter of perspective, I actually felt more for Sabo's death more so the Ace's. I know you guys love Ace, but for me he wasn't really that great of a character. I felt bad more so for Luffy for loosing his brother during the Ace death. When Ace died I was like "shit that sucks" and I was shocked, but when Luffy was Balling out crying, that when I started feeling it. On the other hand, in the backstory they follow how shit and how horrible Sabo's story is, and how he just wants to be free. Then when he got killed it hit me in the Gut, and I started crying. So just because it doesn't hit you in the Gut doesn't mean its bad writing, just means it didn't hit you the same way as others.

Guys I think you got it mixed up. When Ace died he said "if it weren't for Sabo and you I would never have even wanted to live" and he told him "oh and if you happen to run across Dadan could you say goodbye for me. its weird.. now that i'm about to die I even miss that idiot"
