Characters:

ALEX HECK: Teen angst personified. She's going into her junior year at St. Mary's, a Catholic boarding school in Minnesota, and making it her goal to get expelled. Although she's a straight-A student (except in Religion) she's the rebel of the school, managing to make every assignment an act of subversion.
