Log Line: A period comedy loosely based on the adventures of Stede Bonnet, a pampered aristocrat who abandoned his life of privilege to become a pirate.

[CAPTAIN STEDE BONNET]

Male. Middle- aged, healthy-looking, he's a man who's seen little hardship. Captain of The Revenge. Some captains are born to be pirates, others learn on the job-Stede is a pretty solid mix of both. He's a decent leader, but really not into the killing and pillaging aspect of pirating. He reads the crew
bedtime stories in funny character voices. We find out that he left his wife and two kids, upending his entire aristocratic life to become a pirate. Think Michael Scott from The Office, if he were to be the captain of a pirate ship.

Male. Bald, skinny, thinks he's the ultimate pirate, but isn't. He is above stupid tasks, and hates Captain Stede-he wants to kill him. Leader of the mutiny against Stede. Claims to have sailed with Blackheard. He isn't hugely popular amongst the crew, but just wants to be a legit pirate.

Male 18-25 Series Regular
Male, 20s. Bookish and spritely. He is the scribe and writes down everything Stede says in a thick book. The only crew member who can read. The crew thinks he's a 'suck-ass'.

[NATHANIEL BUTTONS]
Male 40s Series Regular
A chewed-up, bearded, Willem Dafoe-ish older pirate. He tells Captain Stede about the mutiny afoot. Most experienced pirate, but he's genuinely insane - talks to the seagulls and birds. He is Stede's loyal right hand. the first mate, and a savvy sailor.

Male Late 20s - Eearly Series Regular
A seemingly easy-going, but very watchful Somalian fella. Very talented with a sword, a killer.

Male. A shadowy, dangerous-looking pirate. Big hat, eye-patch and scraggly beard. He is a mute. Talented knife thrower.

Male. Small, semi-feral Irishman. He's got a big mouth for a small guy. He's a low-key pyromaniac.

Male. Massive, kindly Irishman. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, and doesn't have as much to add as his brother. Brother of Big John Feeney.
