Hey friends.

Build links at the bottom, read the post or jump straight there if you're feeling like a renegade

Been hearing your feedback and introduced some quality of life improvements:

There will now only be one keypad code per tier, no more multiple code entries for unlocking things separately. Your code only has to be entered once, and will be applied from then on in subsequent loads of the project.

Your VR locomotion settings are also now saved, and I've fixed all the locomotion options that were broken before. Since there is no in-game information about these options, I'll write some info out here for peeps who are interested. Otherwise just try them yourself and see how you like each one.

  • Radial - move your thumb in a circular motion to rotate yourself 1:1 at that angle. Your thumbstick or trackpad in this case becomes an angle representation of your body, so rotating your thumb around 180 degrees on the trackpad or thumbstick, will rotate you 180 degrees.
  • Classic - move your thumb left or right to rotate yourself in that direction additively. Holding the thumbstick left ot touching left will rotate you left for as long as you hold your thumb in that position. This is basically like classic FPS controls.
  • Step - rotates your body in increments of 22.5 degrees, what I think is an optimal degree for eliminating motion sickness, and turns out to be a mathematically nice number.
  • Inverted - only available for the Radial rotation option, it means that rotating your thumb clockwise on the trackpad or thumbstick will rotate your body counterclockwise. You can think of Radial Inverted like rotating the world around you, rather than rotating your body.
  • Touch Move - Vive trackpads by default emulate thumbsticks directly, where touching a position on the trackpad is as if you have moved a thumbsick to that position. If you don't want this behavior because your thumbs keep touching the trackpad in your uncontrollable excitement and moving you inadvertently, you can disable Touch Move, which means you have to click down on the trackpad to move in that direction rather than just touch.

Some other stuff -

I've introduced level switching. There's only one other level as of now which is a blank white tile room, people who keep up with my Twitter will have seen it around in some clips. I'll be adding more levels to this menu!

Graphics options now have a corresponding value, and graphics options will save and reapply automatically whenever you change an option. You can set graphics options once and never have to play with them again for that build.

While you're using the build, please try and remember the development stage it's in and forgive bugs and annoyances for the most part, but saying that, please give feedback on Discord or Patreon. Be as critical as you like as long as it helps to improve the experience!
