Hey Guys,

Firstly we want to address the simultaneous release of this update for both Avatar and Ascended Tiers; until now we've struggled to decide on a fair system that allows Ascended early access to content without leaving Avatar players stuck in a game version riddled with already fixed bugs. To this end we've turned the delivery schedule on its head, henceforth the first update each month will be available for all game-access tiers (Avatar+), with the second update being Ascended exclusive. This also makes it easier for us to create content and results in fewer issues to fix, as we're not maintaining two distinct versions of the game at any one time but ensuring exclusive content is still available to our Ascended patrons. We will also be making more use of the Ascended Discord channel and holding some Ascended-only content polls.

In addition to all the content which is new for Avatar patrons, we've also added a second 'big' member to the lineup of genital options (dragon-horse hybrid), a range of more detailed headwear options for feline players, and three new full-body skins (a lot more people voted in that speed-poll and we thought it only fair to reward that engagement!). 

So with all of the previously exclusive content now unlocked this is a big month for Avatar players, what about Ascended patrons? Well the month is somewhat stacked towards the second update, with so much of the vote going to your favourite unrideable horse friend from the Sabu docks. For starters we've overhauled the centaur body, armour and "equipment" for the new scene, the previous model was always a placeholder and, whilst he looked tall and mysterious, he lacked the attention to detail and design consistency that we aim for. In the image below you can see his new model (sans helmet) bearing the scars of captivity and soon ready to unleash his lust on the player.



Finally we also have some Female-on-Female scenes coming this month, for those players who enjoy their encounters to be soft, sensual, and devoid of penises. So overall it's a packed month for all tiers and, as usual, there will be more polls incoming to help decide the finer points of the March updates.

  • Added Environmental Hazard System. There is a single instance currently in the map whilst we playtest (be sure to FAIL the QTE if you want the scene).

So where is the environmental hazard? I know the map is in development but in the meantime maybe post an evolving rough draft image here on patreon, that would help speed up testing and feedback!

Steam version has map access and content we don't have

Hi MigglyTuff, Steam has just released and for ~10 days is mostly at the Patreon build level (depending on tier). Steam will not however get any new content for months and, when it does, they'll be significantly behind the current Avatar level. By 12th March Steam will be well behind Patreon. You are correct that for a brief one-off window Steam is ahead of Avatar patrons, but once the next update drops on 12th you'll already have content they won't now see until June (additionally some content you get in May won't be on steam until September time). There was this slight overlap to make it less likely for us to break either version of the game around the steam launch, but we hope this helps clarify things. Team Carnal Instinct
