Adventurer Ranks (Patreon)

Adventureres are all given a badge of their rank. These are used as identifying information. It also keeps track of their stats and progress. The magic runes around the gem, seal the information inside of the gem. And in the event that something bad were to happen. The plates have a magical signal, allowing adventurer's bodies to be found in the event that an adventure goes awry.

The Gems stop working if someone tries to use the badge who is not the original owner. To prevent people from stealing and posing as other adventurers. And the rank plates hang around the neck like modern day military dog tags.

Topaz

Beginner/Novice
Adventurers of this rank are new to adventuring or lack the experience. They are aspiring adventurers!


Amethyst

Intermediate/Advanced
They have taken their share of lumps and show promise, but they are not quite veterans.

Sapphire

Skilled/Competant
They make the backbone of the adventurers guild. They are often seen as having bright futures for making it this far.


Emerald

Veteran/Proficient
They have been on enough quests and adventurers to know their limits and sometimes give advice to the lower ranks.
They are skilled at what they do and worth their weight in gold. And their name may be known in many places.


Ruby

Master/Expert
They are known far and wide. Fame and acclaim for their deeds. Ruby ranks have slain dragons and many threats to the realm.
Some might even be followed by bards, hoping to see the journey of a wold be hero.


Diamond

Legend
Diamonds are the stuff of legends. Their actions have shaped countries and even kings will lend an ear to their tale.
Children hear stories of these great adventurers who have fought threats far beyond normal mortals.
