Should I censor my Patreon supported art on my socials ? (Patreon)

Hey guys, just something I am debating with atm should I censor my patreon supported fan art pics?

like I did with the tentacles on the new Triss pic censor the fun bits, but cover them with something still smut related like tentacles, or thick loads of bukkake etc.. 


Just wana hear ur opinions on it XD  I am hoping I will get more supporters here wanting to see them titties, and maybe drive some sales to my gumroad.

A censored version for public and the uncensored version for patreon only. I think it could be a good idea.

I vote yes for two reasons: 1) If you believe it will help you grow your patreon then I think it is worth a shot to do so. 2) I love alt versions. Including sfw with various levels of clothing and <a href="https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SceneryCensor?from=Main.Peekaboo" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">scenery censoring</a>.

In my experience, uncensored versions of adult art is better to advertise what you create. So long as patrons get something worthwhile (higher resolutions, votes on future art, etc.) the uncensored art does more to draw me in as a supporter.

Elwinne, what are your thoughts on any of the following suggestion? Anyone else feel free to weigh in as well, just suggesting some ideas ^_^ * Second chance polls - voting on incomplete artwork to move up the queue for completion * Small changes to sketches, such as - (Idea here would be to make it easier to complete sketches and reduce time needed for completion) -- Changing sketch slots in streams to timed blocks, like 30 minutes before moving the next sketch? -- Maybe changing sketches to stages of completion? like sketches would be 3-4 stages depending on complexity? * Alternating character polls with polls related to themes? where patrons could vote on a theme (Like spooky, casual, flirty, etc) for the next batch of art... * alternate monthly art between pinups and erotic art? (thought process would be pinups have less complex background and focus more on the character?)

I see many other artist that do it and their pages are doing well, but I don't know if it's because they are more popular than me, or if its people actually paying for the Lewds 🤷.

I don't know if it will help or alienate my the other half of my fan bade. I like to think it might help, but I am not sure if it's wishful thinking on my part. And I to like alot of alt version and they are fun to do sfw and NSFW 😛

Yeah and that's pretty much how I have seen it since I started posting NSFW on my reg galleries, but some time I feel like why buy the cow when ur getting the milk for free. The only thing I can think of is trying to make more explicit version for patreon when the pose alows. 🤷

Maybe I can set up a poll asking either fan art or older works because I am so slow I can't do both in one month plus all the commissions. I am not sure I can complete a sketch in 30 min without having the base poses done before I start the stream. By stages do u mean like one stream I do all. Poses then next I do the sketches , next I do the clean ups? Theme u mean them to go along with the fan art ? I think I need to try and find some study time and see if I can come up with something more polished then a quicky but less detailed then a soft shading so I can try and get out more pics 🤷 sometimes I think it's cuz I don't put out enough content, and I spend way to much time on details 😝🤷🤷

I do apologize, I should have stated this first. I love your art and am absolutely happy with how you run your Patreon. And all my suggestions here are from observing other artists that I support here on Patreon and their process, so feel free to ignore what you think won't fit. Oh no, I wasn't implying completing a full sketch in 30 minutes! I meant doing as much as possible within the timeframe (like pose and initial sketching), and moving to the next patron's sketch after time was up. I got the idea from watching another artist's streams. It allowed for more sketches to be drawn during a stream, which might increase people's interest if more people knew they might get to see their request drawn during a stream? Just a thought :) For the stage thing, kind of like that, yeah... It's probably not too great for streaming when I think about it, but for offline it could work. I got the idea from different artist, who breaks up some of his commissions to 4 stages and each stage is a flat $20. (sketch &gt; lineart &gt; half color &gt; Full Color) The picture would be complete after 4 stages. It's a system for people who want comms outside the normal queue but it's only when the artist has time. But I figured you could tweak that formula to something that works for you. By theme, I meant instead of only character polls for the monthly fan art, if the vote was instead for a theme like "lover's embrace" or "self-love" or "character at rest". I was thinking some patrons might be more comfortable picking or suggesting a theme instead of characters. (Especially if they don't know what characters to suggest or their choice was more obscure and not as likely to be picked.) Again, I don't want to appear like I'm demanding change or anything. I'm only thinking out loud. I'm happy with whatever you'd like to do, and just wanted to say you have my full support.
