Hey everyone,

Happy June! A lot of you are out of school and enjoying your well-deserved time at home in the good weather, taking in games, videos, reading, and more. Summer, for me, is always a fun working period, feeling a little bit more excited than usual and a lot more uninhibited and ambitious.

This past weekend, I got my video done on Tender, a Vampire: The Masquerade ARG that was designed for the upcoming Bloodlines 2. At the same time I was working on that, I was trying to work through a video concerning another ARG that was, honestly, so nebulous that it's still not solved and it's not yet possible to determine if players have all the material or if there's more coming--but it's certainly been awhile between the last discovery and now. I've been biding time working on other things while we've waited to see if more comes out of that other piece.

I'm 100% gearing up to get another video out this month at the very least (I've got some time off I need to take for a family obligation this month that will keep me very far from my workstation). July, however, is going to be a better time...

After much consideration of options and needs for the community and my abilities to work on things at this time, the plan I formed over the winter has changed. Project Monochrome is being shelved temporarily in favor of Project Genesis.

Project Monochrome is entirely a creative project, while Project Genesis is a long-time-coming part of having progressed to full-time on Night Mind through Patreon and is much more valuable and wide-scope than my creative pursuit under Monochrome.

The good news: plans for development on Monochrome have changed, and pursuing work for Project Genesis is going to give me all the tool kit work and experience needed for the new execution of Monochrome.

Two birds, one stone is essentially what's happened now with my research and I couldn't be happier. This is just more evidence for the lesson that our creativity doesn't stick to the preconceived plan; as you dig in, you find mutations and new developments, and what's appeared might be even smarter (and thematically better) than what you thought about from the start.

I'll be able to let you all in to really gain a sharper sense of what Genesis actually is, but the clues are already here on Patreon, and I will say this: it is infinitely much, much more than anything I make or want to present. It's like Night Mind on a much bigger scope--it's not about me, it's about all of us, and it's here to do good for everyone who wants to be part.

Monochrome work will pick up once Genesis is ready to roll or nearly set to roll out. I've got research to do for just how much I can actually get done with Genesis in its first phase, but my hope is that I'll be able to craft something that isn't just a "look and enjoy" experience and can provide more for people than consumption.

I'd like to run a Darkroom later this month, towards the end, because then I should have another video up and that gives us more to discuss. If I can work on video stuff until I have to leave for a bit, then I should have the video up by the time I take the family break.

And that's about it, everyone. I'll tell you more as I'm able, but for now, I'm sticking with the "just starting" feeling of saying little and doing a lot. Keeps project integrity and motivation strong.

Thank you!

Edit: OH GOD I FORGOT ABOUT OCTOBER!

Right, so, October--I ran a community post on YouTube just trying to gauge what the general crowd there who always looks forward to October on Night Mind is interested in, and funny enough, the top results are in line with plenty of what I was already thinking.

However, I'd love to get your opinions, too. Those of you who always look forward to October on the channel, no matter its theme or content, what would make you happy to see? Let me know, please!
