I like to think that almost everything I choose to cover is only going to take maybe three, four days max at the worst. Usually, I have a good turnaround time from the point of decision based at three days.

So, what happens with the first thing I choose to tackle on a genuine list of items I need to approach the very moment I get back from a trip post-Halloween?

Something that's been taking me several days just to do the research on.

Of course.

We're going on three weeks since Halloween, now, and I personally demand product from myself to be available on the channel as soon as possible. What I've chosen to do first is much-anticipated, requested, and... let's face it, entirely expected of me to do, and while I'm good and glad to be doing it, the amount of time it's currently taking to punch through the workload is pure Nick Nocturne luck.

Word to the wise who choose to work in the creative field: there is no rest for the wicked or the weary. And if you're both, you'd better love mental masochism, because a constant bit of suffering and exasperation concerning things beyond your control is your lot in life.

On the upside, I'm thinking that there might actually be two videos in this for us. And from how long it's been since Halloween, I'm feeling like it's definitely justified to deliver two and make a sort of double-feature piece. Or, at least, have a companion video to come along with the first shortly after it goes up. Something cool for the week of Thanksgiving.

(As well as a Halloween bonus treat that unfortunately didn't come to fruition in time for October 31st.)

I do not complain because I dislike my work--I complain about my situations like these because I hate thinking of the effect it has on you guys, who support and hold out in faith hoping I deliver, despite the time it takes and my silence while attending to the work.

Don't worry, guys--it's just Nick being Nick again, apologizing for things you've already said you don't mind ::P But that's how you know everything is still normal over here.

TL;DR - Research for first video post-Halloween is ridiculously long, running later than I'd like, but you might get two videos out of it. Sorry for delay, but I'll have the goods soon. Love you guys, thank you.
