YO FOLKS~! Here's what we've been up to!

Starting with a Word from Vixel!

7/11 weekly update:
Hey floofs! Rough couple weeks for me, we lost our siamese tabby kitty of 19 years and it's been hard. I finished our June builds and did some work in v2. Spent some time analyzing v2 to see what's left before we can wrap up the rewrite effort and deliver test builds.
Here's the v2 todo list:
  • Gossip Menu: Attach gossip greetings and critter portraits to the new database.
  • Doorway Bugs: A couple of Central Forest and Mountains doorways are buggy.
  • Camera Bugs: Most are fixed, but need to thoroughly re-test to ensure all v2 cameras match v1 cameras. Ruins Glyphs area cameras are broken.
  • Critter Bio Unlocks: Added bio stuff to the database, but the unlocking script is currently broken.
  • Chapter Select Unlocks: Need database rules for which dialogues and movies get unlocked for each chapter.
  • Autosave: Reenable and test.
  • Dialogue skip: Reenable and test.
  • Dialogue Prerequisites: Need to set up unlock sequence for new dialogues added since Booty Line Up (males).
  • Instanced Stories: Blessing of The Bells content is added, but it's showing up mixed in with Acts 2 and 3 dialogue.
  • Critter Dates: Need to finish testing all triggers, especially for Coyotes date with bukkake scene, and Red's haiku.
  • Fast Travel: Need to fix misaligned landing locations for Penny on perches, and add missing inflight dialogue.
  • Gifts: The dialogues are added, but the randomizer that triggers the gifts is broken.
  • Content: Need to port June content to v2.

Looks like a lot up there! But MAN the amount of stuff that's been done is insane xD  Honestly it's awesome that Vixel's at the point where he can even list the stuff that needs to be finished :>

Super stoked to help bug bust once most of these are fixed up!

Anyways, on my end, I've been starting this month's content. I wrote up the first half of it, then I started doodling, and I've kiiinda figured out 3 sets of illustrations for it. Should be fun! A bit of a big one, but it checks out for a finale of a mini-arch!

And in other news, I was messing with the 3D animation for this month! I actually had a totally different background going on than the one up at top, but I ended up canning it and going the bathroom route. Super glad too! This one might be voice acted and the sound design will be super fun in a bathroom setting!

I was also messing with this add on called Fluid Painter. Basically lets you "paint" a path which is then given a material visual, so you can paint fluids.

I figured out a decent way to make it animateable and "merge" - usually this would be a solid mesh to be animateable, and not able to be combined. But with some constraints, anything is possible ;D Just not super easily, this is A way to hand animate fluids, but I don't want to do that meticulous of animation. So I'll use it more for some wetness and added interest.

I used this tool a bit for the bathroom scene, but there's an alternate angle that would better show it. I haven't finished the renders just yet, but the test ones are lookin' real nice :>

I should have the animation out sometime next week. If there is sound design, I'll be adding it later.

you should totally make 180 VR versions of the videos, that way you can load these videos into a program like skybox and have a virtual reality video
