YO FOLKS~! Here's what we've been up to!

Starting with a Word from Vixel!

5/23 weekly update:

Heya floofs! Last week I worked in the v2 project to squash bugs in Act 2. I worked methodically from the end of Act 1 and bugfixed An Apple a Day (meeting Oliver), plains fast travel (riding Oliver), meeting the coyotes, flying Penny back to Central forest, Scarlett & Bucky's introduction to critter dates, and part of Taking Inventory (Maverick's item delivery quest).

This week I'll be squashing bugs in critter dates, the second half of of the coyotes' quest (shearing Finley), Dustin's dash minigame, and the Act 2 finale. I'll also be scripting some new content for our May monthly build.

Speaking of squashing bugs, Carrot and I are looking at modernizing our bug reporting process soon. Right now there's a bug submission form on our website and bug reports scattered throughout discord, furry art sites, itch, etc. There isn't really a handy list that anyone can go check to see what we're working on. When we release the first v2 build for public testing, there'll likely be a spike of new bug reports. So we're exploring our options - stay tuned! ^w^

^^ It'S HAPPENiNNGGG. The end of dev hell is IN SIIIIGHT. sorta prolly hopefully. Vixel was walking me through where he's at with stuff and it's super exciting :>

OK! SO on my end, I've been up to a few things! 

FIRST, I've been needing to do a buncha house chores now that the weather is nice. Doing landscaping stuff, installed a back-up camera in my car, got a big dumpster rented to empty out some construction shenanigans, AND we are looking at getting a deck built very soon for the back yard! So some stuff fighting for my time.

I've also TRIIIED to start going out a bit more? There's this drawing thing my friend is hosting every few weeks nearby, and I went to it for the first time, met some cool folks and doodled! I've been really meaning to do this sorta thing more. I don't have a whole lot of non-busy friends where I'm at these days xD, everyone has kids or works all the time. So I've been kinda wanting to meet new folks. SPOOKY. But yolo.

Aside from all that, AS Y'ALL CAN SEE THE CAT UP THERE! I've been prepping 808 for some SHENANIGANS! I dunno what came over me, but I got 808 fever, and there was a pretty decent model rip of her online. Despite her model/weights being ripped, (and "textures" I guess) - there's A TON of stuff i've had to fix with this.

But where she's at- 

- Generated controllers for her. She's completely animate-able.
- Rigged the bits! Tried a new spline-IK method for the labia. Should be fun to test out!
- Had to retopo the mouth, and reweight it.
- Spline-IK'd the mouth, as it's something I've always wanted to try. Then ended up doing an action-driven mouth rig anyways. This allows for a pretty fun singular bone to control A LOT of pre-made motions. It's great for quickly roughing together an expression. I should make a lil demo gif or video of it! It's kinda cool!
- Got her eyes fully rigged. WHICH INCLUDED SEVERAL HOURS OF GASLIGHTING MYSELF AND LOOKING FOR PROBLEMS THAT I DIDN'T HAVE.

So she's basically good to go.

The main things I gotta do is reorganize the bone layers for the sake of cleanliness. And I also wanna finish her bits textures. I wanted to paint inside to give it a bit more unf. And I wanted to have a more pink version for the flesh bits, since some folks have drawn porn of her like that, and I dug it too :>

It's super dumb how a ripped character, so fully finished Model (though this had some issues), and fully weighted bones (but no controllers), and you can STILL poor a TON of hours into making it animate-able. It's dumb xD, but pretty dope where she's at :>

She's gonna be next month's 3D character, so 10$+ folks will be voting on what I'm doing with her very soon!

TFOL-wise - I've been prepping this month's content! I started a bit late, but I'm trying to haul ass on it. BUT, it's gonna be a good amount of content, so we'll see if I can finish it in time for the end of the month. If not we will deliver early next month for sure. I lined 6 illustrations today, just gotta color em now! Here's a sneak peak!

Maverick is up to some shenanigans with Oliver ;)

Actually, this month's portion will be "part 1" to this mini arch. Which is oliver's perspective. SO ya'll won't see what maverick is up to till part 2 of the mini arch, which i'll do for next month.

Should be fun though :>!
