Here's what we've been up to this week!

Starting with a Word from Vixel!

8/29 weekly update:

Heya floofs, happy new week to you! ^w^

Last week I worked on scripting the rest of the new content for this month's build! Also fixed a long standing bug causing typewriter sounds to stop playing sometimes. (Especially when spamming the Continue button during dialogue.)

On the Android side, I kept troubleshooting a few lingering issues. On some phones, the game's touch Dpad goes unresponsive if you tap and hold somewhere else on the screen. (Or spam a bunch of touches, like during the Plant minigame.) I've tried several fixes, but nothing conclusive so far! :O I've also got a hopeful fix in the works for some phones getting super hot while running the game.

Thanks again to Android testers for all of your bug reports and playtesting! We're close to being ready to put an Android build on Itch for the general public to play. Most of the bugs have been squashed and the design flaws are documented for future improvements.

I also want to thank everybody for your outpouring of support following last week's Life Stuff update about my dad. It's really humbling and encouraging that ya'll are so warmhearted. <3 <3 <3 We'll keep you guys in the loop as that situation progresses.

On my side, I've been working on more illustrations of the bear scene! Up above is a sneak peak of how it's all coming together :>

Unrelated to TFOL, I've been doing some lil 3D animations here 'n there for fun/practice, and I'm thinking about putting them together for a PWYW lil pack in the next few weeks. Every couple of years I'd make a "Sketchfolio" pack, and sell it for PWYW, with the proceeds going to my student loans. This'll be the same!

After hearing that we are actually getting student debt relief, I thought this would be a great time to see if I can make a huge dent on my current loans! I've got about 26k left, but I've been saving since the Covid forbearance. I've got a nice chunk ready to drop a HUGE STEAMY LOAD of repayment xD But I'll still be owing a good chunk after all that.

I usually give patreon folks access for free, and that'll be the case for this one too! But I will also drop the link if anyone's feeling extra generous! When it's ready.
