Hey floofs! I have an announcement that's a bit more serious! :O My dad is reaching the advanced stages of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (an autoimmune disease that stops muscle tissues from regenerating). He's living at home in a fancy medical bed, hoyer lift and wheelchair, and still has partial use of both legs and right arm. The disease has now progressed to the point he is having severe breathing issues. It's tough stuff and really hard to watch him go through it, but he keeps a positive attitude and makes the most of whatever time he has. <3

My mother has generously volunteered her energies to be his primary caretaker, and it's an unenviable role of personal sacrifice as he requires constant care!

Me, I'm currently living with fam and helping them manage the homestead. There's a LOT of heavy home-side happenings that pop up randomly and compete for attention with the game.

I'm keeping steady development momentum, but there'll come a point at some unknown time in the future where Dad will pass away, and it'll probably cause a few weeks disruption on game progress while we grieve and do his funeral. I'll do my best to minimize any impact to TFOL! I'm not making this announcement for pity, but I wanted to keep you in the loop since that situation's eventually gonna be going down. :V

Carrot here, just wanted to say Vixel's family has actually been dealing with this stuff through a majority of TFOL's production. But we thought it's important to be upfront with you all now, especially since more pressing things might be occupying his time soon. When the time comes, we ask you all to be patient while things heal. I'll do my best to keep you guys entertained until Vixel's return.

I can only wish your dad don't suffer with this terrible disease and you and your family a tremendous strength, emotionally and physically. I know how is to lose a loved one and this journey is tough for both sides

I wish the best for you and your family Vixel, your dad's wellbeing is what's important so take all the time you need

Altair

Take your time. The game can wait, family can't, especially in this case. Take the time and be with your family. I know what it's like to loose family. Don't waste time on something that will be around in the future when there is something else more important that won't be around.

I wish you the best of luck and I can relate to the situation my grandparents had accidents that left them in a situation where they cannot live independently, needing constant care from someone in this case having 6 children helped them to dissipate responsibilities manageable way however losing part of your independence and in these cases your movement changes your perspective of life and your customs as a person, much encouragement, take the time you need we will support you as we know supporting what you love, enjoy of the moments with your family to the maximum that are the memories that will stay and better that they are good, not the best memories you can, and take good care of yourself. Have a nice day.

CocoLoco

You have all my love and support in this trying time. Facing the death of a loved one is the most pain a person can suffer and I wish you and your family strength.

Hey Vix, I just got to this message and I wanted to say that I appreciate your hard work in helping to make this, even though I don't understand any of it. Family is more important, though—I hope you're taking care of things at home, and don't worry about us. Get back to it only when you're ready!
