Here's what we've been up to! Starting with a Word from Vixel!

8/15 weekly update:

Happy new week! ^w^
Last week I worked on Android bugfixes. Movies would stop playing in the Start Menu Gallery, and it was possible to softlock the app during the Plant's minigame if players button-mashed too close to a glyphstone by the side of the path. Got these bugs and half a dozen others squashed for our next Android build.
I also finished scripting some new content for our monthly build - an illustrated story about Maverick's steamy shenanigans with a lovely otter lady!
This week there's a bit more to do with Android, and then I'll be working on more monthly build content & making more progress in the Upgrade project.

On my side, I've been messing with more particle animations!

Here's a bit of a sneak peak at some of the shiz goin' down whenever we get to making new campaign content :>!

This was a huge pain in the ass to set up, and I have no idea why game dev programs are SUCH a struggle to import something as simple as a lil' sprite sheet and hook it up to a material lmao. It's like, 15 more clicks than it should be in 2022. Doing little things like this are so humbling because it's such a small thing, and somehow Vixel's working all this crazy magic in this same program. It's nuts lmao.

But yeah! I animated these water droplets and a few variations, and did the look-dev for how a stormy night might look :> Obviously this doesn't have everything, I barely got a few of the systems in, but it totally sells the point! The final should look pretty slick since we've got a few more tech plans to implement with it! But that's all vixel :>

I also did a bit of light doodling for the poll'd date for next month! Nothing to show yet, but it's lookin' pretty spicy so far ;>
