Quite the enjoyable episode sir. =) I admit, I watched Blues Clues growing up as well, though I don't have a kid at the moment, my fiance also used to love watching it. Can't say I've heard of most of the other shows on the list, but that could simply be a matter of regional differences. As for shows I'd find suitable for really young kids, one I grew up with was the Muppet Show. Even if I didn't understand it most of the time as a kid, going back, I think it still holds up pretty good. It was bright, colorful, and overall cheerful and friendly, much like Sesame Street. Another set of shows I watched growing up, which I don't know if it really counts, is alot of the old Hanna Barbera cartoons, like the Jetsons, the Flintstones, and Scooby Doo, as well as the original Loony Toons from way back when. I don't know if you'd exactly call them educational, but I couldn't get enough of em as a kid, and many hold up to this day, though not all of em. One cartoon I was raised watching that of what I know by today's standards is "inappropriate" for children, was Ren and Stimpy. That show was amazing, and to this day it's among my favorite cartoons of the olden days. Loved it while I was young, and still love it to this day. (And get far more of the more "adult" aspects to the jokes they wrote, which I never noticed while I was younger.) All in all, I think alot of older cartoons and such could still entertain kids today, and when I eventually have a kid some day, I hope they'll enjoy em just as much as I do. If not, ah well, generational gaps in taste are bound to happen. Anywho, keep up the great work Suede. It's great having you back making videos again. =)

I do think its amazing how shows like these can resonate with parents watching with their kids or any other adults. It really shows that just because something is intended for toddlers, doesn't mean it can't be smart or actually entertaining for the whole family rather than being all in your face to distract the younger audience's attention.

You seem to know quite a bit about Steve Burns so maybe you know this but he did an absolutely amazing story for The Moth (podcast now an NPR show about storytelling). https://youtu.be/CwmtkFPYXsg
