All the performers lip-synch at the Macy's parade. Mariah writes most of her songs - lyrics and melodies, and she's demonstrated many times creating impromptu songs at concerts. Walter A isn't a lyrics or melody writer. He mostly does the production, ie instrumentals, which isn't apart of a song's copyright - it's lyrics and melody unless the beat is very unique. The instrumental/production is Work for Hire contract work, and you should get the producer or instrumentalists to sign it. Walter hasn't worked with Mariah since 1998, and she's had a number of hit and #1s and #1 albums since then. She had hits before him too. Even her demo tape before fame has 2 later #1 songs on it.
