I haven’t listened yet, but I’m reading the comments. There are some greatbiblical scholars who delve into the supernatural and this stuff is very real. My church, and many others, never discuss the supernatural world. Pastor Doug Riggs (deceased) worked for years with victims of MK Ultra. In many interviews, he explains displacing demons who are within the victims versus demonic spirits. Dr. Judd Burton also has great research on the supernatural. Search for either in your podcast browser. I played with a ouija board several times as a kid and visited psychics. I’m still repenting. My sister went through a terrifying time after playing with a ouiji board in college. Some sort of entity visited her nightly for a while. Now, I stay very far from anything that attracts darkness or occult activities.

I've mentioned these a few times and I don't recall anyone responding. Now that some others are talking about this can I mention them again? Because I think some will really get some good stuff out of the books. I will just mention the authors. Father Gabriele Amorth (RIP) was a priest trained by the Vatican in the old exorcism rite. He had more than one book. There are others I can recommend as well, that I really like. There is an American priest with a really witty take on things but who is a very serious and observant priest and is also trained to do exorcisms. There is Jesse Romero, who was a policeman in Los Angeles. His book is very interesting. Basically during his duties as a police officer he saw things he could not dismiss. He witnessed things himself that he could not find a natural explanation for. His book I read is "The Devil in the City of Angels." I don't want to do spoilers but if people want an idea or a sample of the content, there are videos by and about both and others, online, at the usual free video place. No matter what one's beliefs are, if one is interested in the topic they will find those good reading - in my opinion.

As kids a friend's father was a minister. She was so quiet and kind. I asked her once out of curiosity, if her father had ever seen anything like that (I don't recall my wording but probably: a ghost, etc. It might've been around the time The Exorcist was out?) She said yes, one time he saw standing near the entrance to the church, a (he thought demon or evil spirit) who was 7 feet tall. Now, people can find that ridiculous (and some will) but all I can say is, it was a serious, kind, quietly devout family. Not the type to make anything up and definitely not the type for drama or attention. So that always stuck with me. And she didn't even go into any great detail; very matter of fact.

It's the perfect season to visit some of this stuff. Thank you for the recommendations.
