Ok, I get prescription lidocaine for waxing my legs. According to my Dermatologist, Hair removal laser removal would cause my skin to burn. So, I get Rx grade lidocaine…if it gets in your mouth it’s awful. But, if Rx grade lidocaine is ingested, can the loss of feeling complicate your body’s rejection to poison?

Cocaine blocks nerve signals, but only if it contacts the nerve, which is why your dentist has to inject the cocaine through your gums and into the tooth root before drilling. HOWEVS, while it's *possible* that eating lidocaine might prevent vomiting, I don't know for sure which nerves make you puke, and those might all be on the outside of your gastroesophageal tract, too far for the lidocaine to affect anything.
