This was a fascinating subject/podcast. I really do not like histrionic characters like this because of the inherent self absorption, so what really struck me was my feeling that Cooper really had feet of clay. Between that and the situation with Patricia Neal, it is disappointing. I do still appreciate his work on screen and all the lovely things his daughter has said about him as a father.

I suppose the toilet bowl story is reminiscent of Mama Cass and the ham sandwich. Whether it is apocryphal or not, it is the association which will come to mind throughout eternity.
