Unnamed Short Comic WIP (Patreon)

It's been so long since I've drawn a comic (Safeword ended in 2017, wow) that I wanted to get back into it with a short one-off. This comic will be about 15 pages long and is about Avery, a buff Dragon, and a pretty vivid imagination. I don't have a name for it yet at all BUT the comic is M/M (teeeechnically M-Solo but hey!). I'm using this to stretch my comic making muscles again and figure out how intense I want to go with how I handle the art so I hope you all like it!

Added a few WIPs sketches and concepts I've been going over during the week. Some sketches of what I think I want the dragon-dude to look like and thumbnails of where I'd like the comic to do. Thumbnails usually change pretty heavily when I actually start clean sketching the comic, but they are a great roadmap for where I'd like to head and keep  me on track. 

I also finally did a really simple 3D render of Avery's apartment. I wanted to make something I could use for a lot of shots, and even more in the future. I'm also working on one for Terry and hopefully Sandra/Ben's downstairs as well. These simple renders help me figure out where things are placed, how big they are,  and give me a good camera to snap hard angles at to try and keep things consistent. I don't think I've shared any of them before because, frankly, they are SUPER simple and messy but I figured you all might be interested :'D

Some fun facts:

- Avery's apartment is on the upper floor of an old brick building in a downtown area (I accidentally put a window where it shouldn't be by the table, but that's where a hallway is)

- The best feature is a huge iron-framed window in the studio area and having a washer dryer

- Most of the space is taken up by clothing and soft blankets/books. He has a few small plants but they are mostly succulents because those are easy to take care of. The plant in his kitchen is the only non-succulent still clinging to life. Avery insists he doesn't know WHY he's bad at keeping plants, though it's just obvious to anyone who comes over that he simply forgets to water them. 

- He has two nightstands and a California King bed because it makes it easier to have guests stay the night.

- It smells good almost all the time since, if Avery is home, a candle is lit somewhere.

- He doesn't eat much takeout other than coffee/drinks and prefers to cook small meals himself or for guests the morning after. He's not a 5 star chef but he won't burn the toast... most of the time.
