Would you guys like if I made square bases too? I'm pretty sure I can take my current circle bases and make nice square versions too.

Alsoooooo..... Jack O' Lantern Golem is DONE!!

He was exceptionally challenging to design, but I love him now.  The core package for the Kickstarter is completely filled out. Check it out here!

I don't think a square base is needed. I think a 1 inch diameter circle base should be good enough for all grids. I'd be more interested in having all "small" creatures in a 1 inch base, and all large creatures in a 3 inch base to better represent their control area (in D&D, at least).

I appreciate the feedback! I had a few request for it so I was seeing how much interest there was.

I understand. Square bases crossed my mind at some point, but I came to the conclusion that if I wanted them to fit a square grid, a circle base worked just the same as long as the diameter was the same as the grid. Or if I wanted to be able to place them next to each other, the miniature itself should not collide with the piece next to it so it would be a pain anyway. I think a square base might work if you're working on a "set" or a "composition" of some sort. For example, if all the Halloween miniatures bases have the same theme, you can make a small "landscape" by putting them all next to each other. And it would look better than if they were circles because there would be no gap between bases. Of course that means you'd have to check all models so that they don't collide with each other either.

if i'm honest , when you have a creative writers block and can't come up with things use this opportunity to create square bases. Its a time filler in my opinion. A nice to have but maybe I'm wrong?

I am quite content with round bases. I find them more versatile and they work well for the Pathfinder and Starfinder games I mostly play. Thank you for your consideration but please don't make extra work for yourself on my behalf.

Also, love the Jack o' Lantern Golem. Wonderful work!

Definitely good to know! I appreciate the feedback.

You miss a point i think. Not everyone is printing for displaying the models, but for playing with them. I do play a system where i am forced to use square bases, so for me it would be super good to have them to use.

Of course, what I meant was that the only reason I could think of to want square bases instead of circle bases was for displaying purposes as the bases fit better next to each other. I think circle bases are better for playing because they are easier to handle and turn around so that's why I didn't think square bases were necessary for playing. However, I didn't know there was a system that required square bases. Mind sharing what system is it? I am curious and would like to read some more about it and the reason for square bases.
