Here is his fun backstory:   A gentleman ettercap named Atticus Greycob. He is a traveling Breeder of high quality arachnids, purveyor of poisons, and collector of fine herbs. He has a penchant for gingersnap sand will show up randomly in areas the party is adventuring in looking for new specimens or herbs. His hat is an extra dimensional pocket  that he keeps a shop inside and he sends them on little quests to help him.... which always turn out to be incredibly dangerous.
