My process for this is very similar to what I did for the face. This is described in the post right before this one if you want to check it out.

In BRIEF summary:

1. Append primitive shape like a sphere, cube, etc.

2. Use move and clay buildup to define the general shape.

3. Apply an alpha with clay buildup

So the arms, torso, and shoulders are all separate pieces.
