[Announcement] Cola Chaos (Patreon)

What you're about to read is an example of a new kind of post I've come up with. Please check out the post above this one for more info. I had to split this up because Patreon doesn't allow you to have both a poll and an image in one post.

I was very happy to read all your positive comments under my first attempt with SDXL ‘Pregnant Profiteer’! The call for Part 2 has not passed me by, but I don't really have an idea for Part 2 at the moment (and I don't want to do the same story again, just with a different girl). However, I hope that I can create something else you'll like: Cola Chaos. Kind of a spiritual successor to Pregnant Profiteer. The comic will feature mostly Belly Expansion and will be my second attempt with SDXL.

I'll probably have the comic finished by Friday.

One innovation I've made to this comic is a revised ‘Previously on...’ page. With Contagious Augmentation I was relatively lazy and simply copied 4 pages of the comic into 4 fields and left it at that. This had the disadvantage that the text was pretty difficult to read (since the whole page was downscaled) and it was generally just low-effort and kinda felt like I was cheating you out of a ‘real’ page.

This time I've put more effort into the page: the images have been rearranged, some of the text rewritten to summarize more context from the previous part, bigger and less text. I hope that this will make the page much clearer and offer more added value than before.

What I didn't like so much about this comic is the inconsistency in some places (I don't know if you've noticed). For example, you can see a clear difference in art style between page 6 and 7, which is because I experimented with SDXL in this comic as well. Page 6 was created with SD1.5, pages 7 and 8 with SDXL. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to transfer the art style of SD1.5 exactly to SDXL, hence the visible difference. But the problem will solve itself as soon as I switch completely to SDXL.

As for the story... I have to say that, in hindsight, I'm not the biggest fan of the Shrinks-Down-Then-Grows-Again trope. I probably won't do that again.

Ok, now I've badmouthed my work enough, haha. On the whole, though, I'm quite happy with the comic. I think you can see very clearly from the comic that SDXL enables much more exciting image compositions than SD1.5. For example, I did page 18 with SD1.5 - what an effort that was! I used 3 LoRAs, had to remove a lot of artefacts in Photoshop and still the page didn't turn out perfectly. It probably would have worked much better with SDXL. I can't wait until I start working on the first complete Breast Expansion comic with SDXL ^^
