Steampunk Set 8 (Patreon)

Welcome back folks! 

In this set we're heading outwards, to the outer buildings!

Southeastwards of the artificer's main workplace is a storage area full of old inventions and spare parts from their research. 

Floor-to-ceiling shelves contain gears and bolts necessary to power some of these aged antiques perhaps, and more of the mysterious mechanisms that power the building are strewed about. The stairs, cleaner and better-lit, provides passage to the tunnels.

Eastwards is the town square for the area, where once perhaps the inhabitants of these halls may have gathered and conversed in scholarly fashion. Now all that remains is the large orrery built under the platform, and the old tramways that lead out of the area.

And finally, the power source of these hallowed halls: a small generator is sequestered in one of the outbuildings, powered by odd glowing rods, half-built and in disrepair. 

At some point an ambition was had to find an alternative energy source and to make a mining tramway to transport that source. Perhaps it holds the key to activating these mechanisms...?
