Trucks Update + More (Patreon)
Content
Hope everyone enjoyed the 4th and Freedom Bash. I've been adjusting and improving a lot of things, but here's some of what you can find in this update.
TRUCKS - These are NOT done. However, there is a "stock derby frame" with parts under it for derby trucks. Because this is a beam vehicle a lot of the parts are hidden with street parts, one of the things I don't like about using beam vehicles. Maybe a original truck will have to come eventually.
Tires - I've overhauled tires a second and third time. There are still issues with them but I'm slowly working towards them being optimal, hopefully. You'll notice they are softer and tear off the rim easier now, but may get some texture spiking from the rims themselves. In general I think they are less sticky.
Competitive changes - All 3 RDP fullsize cars have gone through some changes, along with tires, that should have some fairly significant impact on competitions, with more things being worked on. In general, the friction of car frames/suspension has been increased, so losing a wheel or dropping a frame to the ground will more likely mean that you're stuck, rather than dragging your car around for the rest of the heat. Trailing arms have also been weakened. These, and future changes, all aim to reward hard hits and "kill shots" by adding more ways for a car to be taken out, and lessen the value of radiators. Previously, as long as you kept your radiator you could keep going. These and future things will be tuned as we go if they become too impactful to the meta.
Cradle/pressurizing overhauls - Cradles (and other future parts) are being reworked to have custom amounts of pressure in the tuning tab. Currently the cradle in the olds and the shocker are NOT FINISHED in any way and NOT FIT FOR COMPETITION yet. They use the new system and are not up to standard yet.
Olds 98 - The 3d model is more-or-less complete. No, it can't be skinned yet.
Shocker - The shocker has seen a lot of work on it since last patch. Deformation and strength has been adjusted front and back, and front suspension has been overhauled to be much better.
It's been a while since I've updated and there's probably changes I'm forgetting about. Enjoy!
