Never a moments rest here in the Empire, so there's lots of moving pieces to get moving this past month. With the launch of the Kickstarter, it started out strong... then did what Kickstarters tend to do, which is to slow down until the final stretch. As much as I want to drop everything and just finish Lustfall (to perhaps move on to a new project, that is designed for more frequent updating), I have to keep things moving!

Lustfall - Update 9

With the conclusion of the Trance Trickhouse bonus dungeon, I have one more to do. I've been setting aside some time every week to slowly hammer it out!

The Soul Cage.

An old prison off in the middle of the ocean. The leyline that connected it to the mainland of Heartlandia has finally been restored thanks to the hard work of a mysterious gentleman. He requests that the team goes and investigates the prison to find some evidence that the warden has been into some very unethical abuse of their power.

I'm in the process of mapping out the floors, so please forgive the placeholder alien eggs and purple crystals (using those as a visual indicator for switches and doors so I don't forget the puzzle I'd planned out when it comes time to do the event programming).

The theme of the prison, aside from prison related themes, is body possession! You will have to either become possessed, or avoid becoming possessed, in order to reach the warden of each floor. Defeat them to hit the switch, freeing the inmates and allowing you to reach the next floor! The objective: Make it to the head warden's office.

More on that later, because we have the news a lot of you REALLY signed up for...

Hanaja's Body 2 in One

That's right, it's happening for real this time. The art document has been completed and the first batch of art was paid for earlier this afternoon. This involved Victoria and Hanaja becoming fused into the same body and trapped in the real of the evil Raconteuse! While they fight each other for control of their body (and in general), each story they're forced to go though shoves another body into the mix!

There are currently 5 forms to switch between, just like in the previous games (not including their free content updates).

  • Vampire (Victoria)
  • Demon (Hanaja)
  • Dragon Princess
  • Unicorn Hucow
  • Fairy Dominatrix

The transformations will work a bit differently this time. Instead of body parts changing individually, you will be able to combine up to two transformations at any given time. Each transformation can be used on its own or with any other transformation!

Combat will be similar to Hanaja's Body, with some changes. There will now be a turn order display, with attacks firing off instantly. These attacks will change the turn order, sometimes allowing you or the enemies to attack several times in short succession. Overall it will be more responsive and snappier than any of the previous games!

It's also time to get the power to POWER UP your transformations. It works like this: each TF base (Vampire, Demon, etc...) has its own pool of points. By using attacks that require that form to use in combat, you'll obtain points that you can then use to unlocks skills, buffs, and other bonuses! You can choose to be a master Vampire (and Victoria simp), or diversify to gain power from all of the characters that share your body!

The final big thing in terms of combat is the not-elemental not-reaction not-system that was in totally, definitely, no way stolen from Genshin Impact. The gist of it is, attacks of a specific transformation type sometime inflict a useless debuff on an enemy. For example, Victoria's Vampire attacks inflict "Vampirism" while Hanaja's Demon attacks inflict "Hex."

By themselves, these debuffs don't do anything. However, when you inflict a DIFFERENT useless debuff on an enemy that already has one, they combine to create a new, useful debuff. In the example above, if you hit an enemy with both the Vampirism and Hex debuffs, they combine into the "Blood Curse" debuff for a few turns, which heals you for a portion of the damage dealt when attacking that enemy.

There will of course be non-combat abilities and puzzles to solve with the various transformations, and the enemies in combat will still gladly mess with your transformation, changing you on the fly.

Next time I'll be able to show off some images of the TFs and some screenshots of the systems I've described above. I am SUPER hyped to work on this and bring you all the long awaited Hanaja's Body sequel that you crave!

Time to get some more coffee and get back to work!

Stay kinky~
