Update 7 Development Log - January 2022 (Showing off a few of the Battle Card Redesigns) (Patreon)

It's looking like there will be a lot to look forward to in Update 7 and with any luck, maybe even a little bit more!

As you can see, something seems to have happened to the lake that the heroines are in the middle of. I'm sure it's nothing lewd at all. Nope. ;p Not in a super wholesome game like Lustfall! You might have guessed that Update 7 will be taking place in the ruined RED settlement. Not only will you be exploring a little more of that terrible place, but you will also be heading underground... where the true dungeon begins!

I won't go into it very much this time since it's still quite a ways out but instead, I am going to show off a Battle Card or two that we've seen before but now in its upgraded glory. I'm mostly doing them in order and have the cards from the very first release completed but it's VERY time consuming and since there is well over 100 (close to 150 by the time U7 is released) of them that are already in the game, I will need the extra time to make sure every battle card gets a shiny new coat of paint!

As you can see, not only do we have fresh cards, we also have some new symbols and icons. The books that explain the side effects AND all weapon/armor/item descriptions that refer to these will also be updated to display the new icons instead of text to make it easier to understand.

With the streamlined text boxes and terminology, there is actually a lot of extra room to add flavor text so I want to think of a fun way to have fans create flavor text for some of the cards that don't have it!

As a bonus, this new notation for the cards will allow me to more easily work in some "dream changes" I have for the game and how side effects work if/when we reach that milestone goal. Not sure if that will actually happen but it's nice to not have to completely redo the cards for a THIRD time. Lol!

That's it for this month, I need to get back to it. I want to get as much Lustfall progress made as possible before the end of the month so I can keep ahead of the release schedule! Thank you once again for your support!
