Happy 2022! 

Now, normally I have some sort of big, fancy image here to signpost this dev log but since I have been busy with the release of Damsels of Vice and advertising it (not to mention getting the separate builds for locations other than itchio) I don't really have anything to show off right now. So let's get to the plans for the month and some juicy ideas I have for Hanaja's Body, the next game in the Victoria's Body series.


Damsels of Vice

I'm waiting on approval for the Steam version and I will be working to get the DLSite version appropriately censored by the end of this week so I can call it a wrap! Sales aren't quite as explosive as they were for Victoria's Body so any extra plans I had for the game might have to be tabled for now, but I will see how things shake up at the end of the month before setting that in stone. (The Milestone #3 goal will remain active for Damsels of Vice until the start of February, when I will switch it to new content for the upcoming Hanaja's Body game)

I wanted to experiment with DLC/Alternate costumes (with alternate bondage/Peril art) but the estimate is around $450 bucks so I would either have to charge a lot ($4.99 per set) to make up the cost, or sell a ton of these extra costumes. I'm not giving up on the idea yet (I could do a written commission drive or something), but again it's something that I will have to put off for a bit unless we have a huge spike in the base game sales.


Lustfall

Once I have wrapped up with the Damsels of Vice stuff this week, I want to take a few weeks to make a bit more progress on Lustfall. As we approach Update 7, we are almost caught up with where I actually am in the story so I would like to keep things moving ahead. Last time I polished off Update 8's content and did the buildup to Update 9. 

This is the big pyramid level so if you like mummies and goldification, this will be the dungeon for you! Not 100% sure what the tricks, traps and gimmicks of the dungeon will be yet but I have some story beats plotted out and, perhaps most importantly, this dungeon will put us in the final act of the game. After this is the Update 10 (and final story update) which will contain a small traveling dungeon and the final dungeon. It is there that all your questions will be answered and things will be wrapped up!

Honestly, even if we don't hit the 1k Milestone by the time Update 10 is out, I might do some of the dream enhancements in a separate, for sale build. Same story and content, just more polished UI, better combat mechanics, battle portraits, etc... Obviously, if I do something like this then everyone who has supported this Patreon at the equivalent $ or more will get a free key.

But aside from that, we still have Update 7 to focus on with those sweet new designs for the battle cards. There's also a lot of new lewds to commission in this next update too so between the two, I'm not too worried about this update taking some extra time to get out there.


Hanaja's Body (Victoria's Body 3)

Oh ho ho! This is what you really came to see, right? There's still some R&D I want to do with new game mechanics but I am already hyped at the possibilities. While these ideas are subject to change, here is sort of what I am thinking with it right now.

Theme: Anthro + Fetish combinations -  For example, the first area transformation will be one that transforms Hanaja into a bee girl... but not just any bee girl, but one with futuristic parts to hypnotize her into becoming another drone for the bee queen. Another combo I want to do is a bunny girl transformation who is also an magician escape artist (bunny girl + bondage).

TFs are alive! - Another idea I have for this game is for each transformation to act as a spirit trying to possess and take over Hanaja's Body, section by section. This gives me as a writer more options for her to interact with characters throughout the game and gives TF lovers an element of personality transformation too!

Self TF at any time, even in battle - Hanaja is immensely powerful, so why wouldn't she be able to take transformations forced upon her and call them at will, even during battle? I am still working out how to mechanically balance this in battle.

TF Meters return... with a twist! - I want to keep the more dynamic combat choices of DoV without shattering my budget for this so I thought, "why not have each section (head, torso, arms, legs) be a playable character? By that, I mean, in battle each section will have a "turn" to choose an attack or skill (including changing the TF) and a health bar. (I may or may not also include a TF bar separately). When that section/limb reaches 0 HP it becomes "TF LOCKED" and can no longer be switched out. If Hanaja becomes completely TF LOCKED then it's game over.

Better resolution? - I really want more screen real estate for this, so I am going to see if I can get RPG Maker to render things on a 1280x720 window instead of the weird 816x624 res it defaults to.


As you can see, there's still a lot to be done in the R&D department before I even create a work order for Zin but I am super excited to work on it. Thank you all for the support so far. You really do make a huge difference I am humbled by your kindness! :)
