PATRON'S SURVEY 2024 - Results review (Patreon)

Good day dear patrons!

As promised today I'm here to dwell a bit in the overall results from the patreon survey I made you guys fill up months ago. I believe it's relevant information to share as it was a really helpful insight into what you guys would want my future content to be about or things I can change a bit.

I did a previous survey in 2023, but never showed the feedback I got despite some of you wanting to know, so here I am doing so this time haha.

This is a big one, so let's review each question shall we.

1.- Which has been your favorite comic so far (+ writting the reason)

I'm actually glad we don't have a huge differences in percentages between the most liked comic vs the least liked one. Teacher's Scandal 1 and 2 were predictably the favorites ones here, which I attribute to the spicy teacher-student relationship at play.

2.- Are you ok with the current ratio between original characters and fanart comics?

Related to the previous question. The majority voted that they agree with the current ratio between original stories and fanart stories. I do believe people react more enthuastically to original stories but fanart stories are a good way for me to try different styles and are a bit easier to write about since the context for the characters is already set in a way. I too, believe letting you guys vote on pairings you want to see depicted in a comic is good so you can get a sense of involvement in my patreon overall haha.

3.- When it comes to pairings, which ones do you prefer? + which dynamics do you prefer seeing?

This was another kind of predictable one, I believe the main appeal of my content has always been leaning toward the size difference between a really big looking guy and a normal/smaller one. Bodybuilder x Bodybuilder pairing votes are more than the previous survey I did in 2023 which I guess comes from a place of wanting to see difference sex dynamics?

As for the top/bottom question, the majority is a fan of the bigger guy being the top or versatile. But the bigger guy bottoming is not that behind in numbers. I do believe it's important to keep things fresh and one of my objectives for this year is doing more stories where the main focus is a bigger vers/bottom or even a dominant bottom instead.

4.- Picking original scenarios + writting your ideal fanart pairing + pitch your original story.

This is one of my favorites questions to make. it's really good what you guy's favorite settings/scenarios are and it will surely influence the next set of original stories.
As you can see, the "Family dynamics (Step-father, uncles etc" rose above the others by a tiny bit.

Although we do have to be clear that recently Patreon updated its terms and conditions now explicitly prohibiting incest between family members and step-son/step-parents stories, which of course means I'm gonna have to come up with ways to depict similar dynamics but following that rule. Next to that, the other two popular picks were gym/sports scenarios, which I'm gonna do a story in the future, and relationship focus, which leds me to believe there's a thirst for more good-feel stories where the characters end up falling in love? it's a cute thing to depict and I really want to do it as well.

Of course, the voting does not mean I will not try my hand in stories involving the other settings. At the end of the day it's all about what I feel more inspired to draw first and foremost.

As for the fanart character suggestions: there were lots and lots of different characters, I won't list them all here but I did see a leaning towards characters from popular shonen anime and overall popular "bara" characters. I'm definitely gonna be taking some of these suggestions to add to the patron polls in the future.

As for originals stories suggestions: I'm deeply grateful for the large amount of ideas you guys have thrown at me. Most if not all of them are really worth expanding about and are definitely gonna be the inspiration for comics in the future hahaha.

5.- Physical goods question.

Being able to eventually start selling physical versions of my comics or doing physical merch to sell has always been an idea running through my mind. Right now I have no means of actually doing it so myself (I believe we don't have a place to print those in my city let alone NSFW-friendly places). But it's reassuring to know that it wasn't and overwhelming 'no' answer hahaha.

6.- Would you be interested in me making short visual novels for monthy rewards?

This one of the most important questions I wanted to ask you guys about in this survey. For a while I've been having the idea of doing original nsfw stories in a visual novel format, even if just really short ones with just a couple of sex scenes but building up an overall narrative in several separated chapters.

The majority voted that they're either on board or in with the condition of it working on phones, which is a really fair thing to bring up as I know the majority of you guys mostly browse around patreon and patreon rewards while in your phone and have no access to a desktop PC to play a porn game.

I'm gonna see what I can do on that end, I believe visual novel maker allows for games to be made for android but Iphone I'm not sure how could that work. It's a difficult thing to bring up cause it adds a lot of factors to consider, but i'm excited to try!

7.- Longer 2-month comics vs shorter ones.

This question as another of the most important ones I wanted to ask (as already discussed in this comic's reveal post). Ever since I started doing patreon comics I've had the feeling that I was rushing through the pages just to get to the sex and not being able to fully realize the ideas I originally had because time was tight and had the pressure to deliver a complete story in just one month.

As the majority voted, they agree that I should try doing longer stories even though it would take me two months instead of one (of course releasing the first half in one month and the second half next), so I'm really happy to know I have you guy's back on this one. And I hope you guys like the end result as I'm trying with my current comic.

I believe this method will only apply to original stories at first, I want to keep fanart stories to one-month only releases though.

Final thoughts

I'm deeply thankful to everyone who completed the survey (and even more to those who enthuastically replied the optional written ones with their ideas!). I'm approaching Patreon work as a way to connect with people who are and have always support my work, so asking these questions is important as sometimes the creative work can get a little too lonely and ideas get clouded with thoughts of insecurity on whatever a pitch might not get too well recieved. Knowing the majority of the votes went in the direction I was already thinking about is a really reassuring thing!

It's my goal to make these sorts of surveys once a year with questions related to the direction my patreon is going at the time. We'll see how much of these answers influence my work until then hahaha
