Update 20: Reflection (Patreon)
Content
The times after a release goes live are usually a time for reflection and a little relaxation, unfortunately at the same time I was suffering through a particularly bad cold, so I told myself I'd take a bit of time off.
This did not happen (but will) sometimes one must strike whilst the iron is hot, and I've been thinking on what I wanted to do to the poor futa's that missed out the previous rounds milking.
You all voted for it so you know what's coming next, we are returning to the box and peering in on another section: the edging lab.
This is a WIP of a WIP, it WIPS in the WIP, you know? You know....
This is a subsection within Orogenix where traditional milking methods won't retrieve the yield they're looking for, either the subject is not aroused enough, doesn't have enough stored to retrieve, or needs some further attention for another reason. Sometimes a more delicate and focused approach is required, and that requires different equipment.
Please forgive the hurried look of the scene, I've modelled and textured these assets and put them together over the last couple of days, this is all stuff that will receive heavy modification during the production, or it might look mostly the same, who knows.
It will feature Mercy, Sombra and Ashe and I anticipate it will clock in around 15 minutes or so (depending)
Which leads me into:
The Ahsoka piece represented, to me, something of an experiment, I wanted to animate a blowjob again with my own machine based spin on it, and I went in confident thinking I'd be able to make something of reasonable length without much drama.
The keen eyed and memorie-d amongst you will remember the timing of it all changed quite a bit, I originally quoted that I expected the original production would last around 8 minutes or so, it ended up being closer to 6.
Now, I've never really targeted a timing for my videos (apart from episode 3, but let's just forget about that one please) I generally take the approach that the story takes as long as it takes to unfold, I encourage natural performances in the VA's I hire and I work closely with them to bring the scene I'd imagined to life.
Originally the ahsoka piece was going to be a LOT longer, she was going to be interacting with 4 cocks, sucking one hesitantly, the second with a lot more excitement (once the association had been made) one more quickshot in there (for the comedy) and finally the last one would be milked over her whilst she was restrained, made to cum and watch it.
Sounds hot right? That's what we thought, and I figured I'd be able to do that in a months or so animation time.... no problem!
1 month into animation I'm barely even half done with the first blowjob and it dawned on me that it needed cutting down -hard-
So it became what it became, I think it tells the story as I intended, but it did reveal something to me, that it's important to know my own limits, and find a balance between the content you expect from me and what I can accomplish as a single creator within a reasonable timeframe.
A person with a great deal of agency over their movements, involving all the lip, tongue, hand, finger, upper and lower body movements and reactions is a colossal undertaking.
Whereas if you strap someone down, give them little to no choice but to react to what you do to them, it not only makes my life easier, but judging by the numbers, it's something you guys want to see too.
And I am only too happy to give it to you.
Let's talk about episode 5:
I did not, believe it or not, talk about the reflection process of the ahsoka piece by accident.
Shot from Episode 5, completely out of context, naturally
As I've progressed in this journey and my skills improve, so do my standards, it becomes increasingly difficult for me to consider an animation complete, because I know I can do better, I can see the flaws clearer, and whereas I like to think this results in a better experience when all is said and done, it has it's drawbacks.
Motivation is chief among which, when you look at a scene and animation and all you can see are it's flaws, it makes progress slow.
Like the horrendous clipping on her shirt, the fact that her hair doesn't react properly, and the facial animation isn't believable.
And if you get through all of that and I come out the other side with a complete product and hardly anyone picks it up, well, it makes spending time on it difficult.
I don't intend to, or I should say, I simply cannot stop it, because the mainline story arc is so central to what I want to open up to in the future, AIMEE's development, outlining the corps in general, and how it all fits together.
Do you see the floating white thing behind her? yeah I rendered 20K frames with that in the background.
Anyway, I think the direction I'm leaning towards is that, despite some adjustment and re-rendering (which is luckily, much much faster nowadays thanks to all of your support) I'm going to likely keep EP5 in the state it exists right now, warts and all, and hope you can all find it within yourselves to accept it for what it is.
Whether you like it or not
After it's out I can talk, within context, about why this was such a problematic moment for the series in general, as I don't really want to spoil any story beats.
EP6 will represent a -significant- shift in the direction of the series in general, and depending on a couple in pipeline projects, will define the core content from me in the future.
A huge thankyou once again to you all for sticking with me, and a hearty welcome to the new people too!
Bye for now.
