Month End Post: May 2023 Wrap-Up (Patreon)

Hi everyone 👋

This month had a lot of progress and huge happenings, though very little of it had to do with the normal game development work I usually mention in these posts.

Here's a breakdown of what's gone on lately-

Monthly Content Summary:

After working non-stop on the Baxter DLC in April, I took a mini-break at the start of May and then I moved across the country not long after that. I had to spend a good deal of time getting supplies and furniture for an empty house. So, things were quite unusual in my personal life these past weeks.

There was last minute additions/polishing for OL1, we even managed to get one more beta build to testers. Then there was the big thing: the final Our Life: Beginnings & Always DLC came out. Baxter's story launched on May 19th! I spent the week before that preparing/promoting, and the week after continue to promote and keeping up with an influx of messages. The release was very successful!

And I did still manage to do some development work between and after those major events. It amounted to 28,280 words drafted and 8,300 words written. I'll take it, haha.

Lastly, Our Life: Now & Forever officially became the main game in development here at GB Patch ✨.

To mark that, I put up the Pre-Launch Page for OL2's Kickstarter! That could be launching in as little as three months, or it might take closer to five. We'll see how quickly everything comes together. But it's certainly exciting to be taking new steps forward.

Well, here we are. It's the end and a new start, in more ways than one. There's a lot of wonderful things we still have to share, but I'll be talking about that in tomorrow's post.
