Ah, the great outdoors. Is this a more surprising direction for Baxter's DLC to go in than all the fancy locations he takes you to or not?

i agree!! definitely an initial surprise as someone who hasn’t played the dlc yet but maybe it will make sense once the player gets to know them!

I feel like this is his way of opening up to the MC? Like he usually plans what he thinks would be more impressive or fun for the MC, but here it seems like he's just showing what he enjoys and wants to share it with them <3

I find neither direction surprising (and that fills me with joy since it means at this point I understand him pretty well). It's so pretty though! Will be gorgeous once the colors get added. My MC will be so thrilled. He loved the trip to the forest in Step 2 after all!

Question, is this part of the Red Wood Forest from Step 2 or a different forest already together...? Also, this remind me of Yosemite in a way. Can't help for wonder if that park was the inspiration for this background.

It's not the redwoods or Yosemite, but it did use real photos of California mountain trails for the reference images!
