That Derek, he's always two steps ahead, haha. And this is it, the last Derek beta build! Some of the BGs need to be updated and not everyone has their voice acting added in Step 4, but that's it in terms of its beta-ness. It's got his whole DLC from start to end. Woo 🎉🎉🎉

You'll have to start a brand new file for Derek's beta content to unlock, but there is an option at the beginning to skip right to Step 2.

Important Notes:

  • In order to get Derek's Step 4 content you have to play all his Step 2 Moments and keep in touch with him during Step 3
  • You can access Derek's Step 2 Moments by clicking the yellow button on the Cove Step 2 Moment screen. That'll switch it over to the Derek Moments 

New Content:

  • 40,250 words worth of new scenes
  • The whole Derek DLC is included!
  • More voice acting lines were added throughout Step 4
  • New art assets were implemented

Well, we finally, finally made it. Derek got his story and I really hope you'll enjoy it. I think he's a pretty cool guy 😊

Just finished it and OMG it's perfect. Great job guys. There is a lottle issue with the face paint removal but it was easy to work around.

Weird question, does Baxter identify as non-binary? I never noticed it before but in the Derek soire moment it uses exclusively non-binary pronouns to refer to Baxter.

it just means the mc isn't fully sure of this person's gender yet. the games always refer to a character by neutral pronouns (they/them) until the character themself makes it clear what their gender is, in order to reflect the mc's internal thought process. in this case, baxter in soiree never directly told them that he was a boy, so the mc continued to refer to him with neutral pronouns.

Loving all of it :) So many amazing moments. I have had an uncaught exception error pop up however in Step 4. This is on a new save created for the DLC (actually on a new laptop as well so haven't had any older saves or beta builds around to confuse it with!) Don't want to give spoilers so won't explain when it is here but what's the best way to send you the traceback?

Love love love it!! I found a couple of errors in the sunset balcony scene with Derek. One was that the "eñe" for N was used in one line. The other is that since my MC is direct, I was able to get Derek to agree to be my boyfriend near the beginning of Step 4. So I was able to kiss him a many times in Step 4. In the sunset balcony scene, there's a line that says "it was the first you and Derek had ever kissed." Kind of humorous given that my MC kissed him a few times already, haha. Just wanted to let you know!
