Month End Post: February 2022 (Patreon)

Hello!

February felt very long and very short, and it saw the end of Cove's main game story with the launch of the Wedding DLC. Here's everything we did during this month-

Monthly Content Summary:

Overall, we made less progress with upcoming content than usual. The first week was spent preparing for the Wedding Launch and then after that came out we were busier than usual for a couple more weeks in terms of keeping up with bug fixing/promotion/messages/customer service stuff. Amazingly, the Wedding DLC was the biggest launch we've had. I had been anticipating a chiller release since it was a single subject story rather than a DLC that added a bunch of new Moments. It's really nice to see people enjoyed it ^^.

Between all that, work began on adding more scenes to the Our Life: Now & Forever prologue build and starting full production on Derek's Story DLC.

29,000 words were written out for drafting/scripting work between both games. Only 9,000 words were programmed into the OL builds. We didn't have a lot of scripts waiting to be added since we just released all the main content we'd been creating for the past few months, haha.

We ran a poll about having a Cove Plushie made. That was very exciting. There will eventually be more news on that front, however it'll be a while longer before I can give it.

The sprites for Derek's family were formatted for Step 2 of OL1 so that they can properly appear in events.

And here on Patreon we posted most days of the month, showing various character sprites, background locations, soundtrack snippets, previews of other new assets for OL2, etc. 

So, there were some pretty big accomplishments!

One other major thing that happened was the Patreon beta build became outdated partway through February. The public release of the game now has all the content that the tester build has, but that won't last. We'll have more to say about it in March.
