Happy Holidays! Here it is! It's now possible to get a feel for what OL2 is actually like, and officially meet the new leads. We've been kicking around ideas for this project for two years and now there's actually a playable build. That's crazy.

The demo has about 25,000 words, though a lot of that content is seen by making different choices in additional playthroughs rather than that being the length from start to finish.

There's a lot of polish to this demo, but it's not 100% complete. One of the main things is that the script was being implemented while the gameplay features were being worked on. 

Because of that it wasn't possible to add references to certain things about the MC. If the MC has a nickname, your dominate hand(s), etc. don't currently come up in this build. I'll add more references to the MC's set details as the development goes on. It's also possible that some combinations/uses of things might not come out right when details are mentioned. We tested various things but there's a lot involved, especially with the gender/pronouns, so there could be problems we missed.

I only our life spoilers, but I also dont have any roles. Maybe cause a stopped my patreon sub for a few months and only resubed recently? Maybe the bot bugged.

You can talk about any game spoilers there. And yeah, that can confuse things. Maybe leaving the server, unconnecting the account, and reconnecting the account to Patreon will sort it out. Or you could wait a day or so to see if the roles turn on, there might just be a delay.

I think all you can do is wait then, I'm sorry to say. The bot often doesn't work instantly. It can take some time.

I finally got the the chance to try the demo out! It was so peaceful and beautiful!! The difference between this one and OL:B&A is just phenomenal!!! I'm completely enamored and can't wait to see what happens next. Thank you so, so much for creating these amazing games. <3

Y'know, I've replayed this mini-demo 3 times and I know I'm supposed to be looking out for bugs, but it's just so cozy I've just been playing it when I needed something comforting! The team has done a phenomenal job so far :). Next time I play I'll actually try to look out for bugs!

Ok so I found a SUPER tiny typo! So tiny that I don't know whether or not it's DM worthy. In the last scene where MC is talking to Opal, one of the non-verbal options has a lingering quotation mark. The option is " You didn't say anything about it." "

I'm absolutely blown away by the demo, I was grinning so hard the entire time!! Thank you for all the hard work you do. I'm going to be eagerly looking forward to every update and the final release! Thank you again for something so comforting and warm to look forward to <3

Alright, coming back from my..... umpteenth replay: One thing I noticed was tiny continuation blip. When you meet Qiu and think he's the prettiest person, then meet Tamarack you can either think she's prettier or second prettiest BUT the same interaction doesn't happen in reverse going from Tamarack to Qiu. Unless I just wasn't selecting the right options.

Thank you! The line change is in the script, but there was a typo in the programming to unlock it. I've fixed that and the phrasing will change in the next version of the build ^^

Really enjoyed the demo and interacting with the characters. I also keep going back to the doll maker and I enjoy it so much. It does bother me that the eyebrow color won't match hair colors. Is it possible for it to match in the future? Especially if we're going to be looking at our character portrait throughout the game. Looking forward to more!

loved the demo! the title screen song was really beautiful and moving :) immediately brought up the same feelings as when i played ol1 for the first time.

I just got a chance to play the beta, I'm super excited. While I love Cove and the interactions with him from OL1, I think the new complexity with all the different meters in OL2 could be fun to play around with. One thing that struck me though, and I really really hope it happens because it'd make me cry in the best most wonderful way, is the mat at the end of the demo, "Welcome Home" I have no idea where the story will go, BUT I would die of cuteness if the 'end' of OL2 was the MC and their chosen partner (or partners, I'm still really hoping for a poly option) enter their new home together, and the last shot is of the welcome home mat. Indicating that with you partner(s), you truly are home.
