Our Life: Shiloh Fields (Side Character #2, Step 1) (Patreon)

Yes, my obsession with the XOXO cast is never ending. Not only does it have the original game, a sequel, and a spin-off, but now the characters are making cameos in unrelated projects. Goodness gracious. Though, Shiloh isn't in the sequel because older Shi is an insufferable snake, so I think it's fair to include him here. With that said, let's talk about baby Shya.  

Shiloh is a seven-year-old boy. He is the only child of a single mother, Marigold Fields. Shiloh hasn’t met his father. His parents thought it would be hard for Shiloh to understand that his dad is out there, but can't visit often. So they’re waiting until he’s older to explain their situation. Their small family lives in an apartment in the city 30 minutes away from the beach. They have a cat named Jojo. Jojo is a tortoise shell who was a stray until they adopted after Shiloh insisted they take the kitten home. Shiloh often calls her ‘Jojy’.

He's a bit shy and self-conscious. Shiloh just wants to fit in and have the cruel words of other people be directed at anyone other than himself. To be safe, he attaches himself to someone bold who allows him to follow them around as much as possible. Currently that's Lizzie, at least when he's hanging out in the MC's neighborhood. Shiloh is very agreeable and tries not to rock the boat by suggesting ideas of his own. If Shiloh feels like he’s being singled out in a negative way he might defensively snap at the person. He’ll be quick to apologize afterwards, of course. He still wants to be friends. Since Shiloh is almost always trying to get people to treat him nicely by behaving how he thinks they want, it can be hard to notice that he’s more of a cowardly mean kid than the sensitive, kind child he comes across as. 

Shiloh only appears in Step 1, as a cute little hatchling. After this small section of their lives, he moves on to other things.
