Earlier we introduced the general details of Secret Project (E), or Eyes of the Echo, but much about it is still a mystery. EotE is the first project for GB Patch where little is being done by the usual crew. While we keep our creative focuses on the many other games that are in the works, Eyes of the Echo is still making progress because of the new writers/planners we've brought on board. Currently the game has only one storyline/romance option. If all goes well, we may add addition routes!

And today we'll go into the plot of the game.

Eyes of the Echo takes place in a magical setting with early 1900s technology and aesthetics. In this fantastical world the creation of Echoes is possible. An Echo is a dubious thing. They are artificial beings with the capacity to learn and the curious ability to allow others to see through their empty eyes. They make for helpful tools to send in place of a person who cannot attend an occasion or when it would be too dangerous to risk a real life. Whether or not it's appropriate to build and utilize such beings an unsettled topic, especially now that it's become fashionable for Echoes to look positively human.

But as of this moment, it isn't illegal and therefore some are still willing to patronize Echo Establishments. The protagonist of this tale resides in such a place. Echos are born with the same, demure personality. But over time their own unique personality will begin to show. What that's like is up to the player.

From that general premise many stories could told, each one starting with a new and unique job they've been hired for. For now, here's the one story that's in-progress:

Our Echo has been tasked with assisting a couple of military officers on a recon mission. There is the personable solider Otto, who will form the connection with Echo in order to see through their eyes. And there is the much less friendly Claude, who will be out in the field with them. This is a major job with much at stake and anything can go wrong. Unfortunately, from the very beginning it seems as though everything will.
