Hi everybody! Today we're starting on a new reaction series - The Witcher! I've been waiting a long time to finally begin this series and I'm very excited to see what it has in store for me! I've heard a lot of good things and I need a little more fantasy in my life haha. Hopefully you'll enjoy!

I think the tipping point for Geralt was that Renfri said she'd kill everyone in Blaviken until Stregobor came out of the tower, and Stregobor probably was never going to come out while his life was in danger. Agree that the emotional points with the people in Cintra felt a bit forced. Overall, the series does start out a little uneven, but as it progresses it'll all come together. Re: Geralt's eyes at the beginning-- they make small references to what's going on in the series but they never really explain it. Part of a Witcher's mutations allows them to take potions that enhance their abilities in fight (increased endurance, healing, resistance to whatever attacks the monster they're facing might throw at them, etc). The potions would outright kill a normal human, but Witchers are able to handle it to a point. The toxic build up in their bodies is what causes their appearance to change.
